Madrid: Spanish architecture in the Arab world

Nieto Sobejano, Estudio Lamela, César Ruiz-Larrea, Rafael de La-Hoz, Fenwick Irribaren, Alberto Campo Baeza and, to name some younger teams, AGi, Hadit and AV62, are among the architectural practices that, hand in hand with engineering firms like Alatec, Sener, Idom or TYPSA, grace the exhibition ‘De viaje. Arquitectura española en el mundo árabe’, on show at the Casa Árabe in Madrid (Alcalá 62) from 20 June to 15 September. Organized in collaboration with the Spanish Association of Architecture Institutes (CSCAE), it presents a selection of projects undertaken by Spanish corporations and practices in countries of the Arab world, and the prospects that North Africa and the Middle East offer to professionals of architecture.
